Leaders Vita Bright Skin Renewal Mask Review

The second sheet mask review for BNTNews x Leaders Insolution. I have previously reviewed the Bio Medi-curing Aqua Dressing Mask and I quite loved the results.

Today's review is the Vita Bright Skin Renewal Mask which brightens and evens skin tone and is targeted for people with dull, troublesome and dry skin.

It follows the same instructions of other sheet mask use: Place mask on a clean face and smooth it out to fit the curves of the face and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Remove mask and pat the essence until it is absorbed by the skin.

The first thing I noticed about this particular mask is that it is very reminiscent of most masks available in the market. The sheet is thin unlike the Aqua Dressing from the same brand which has a thicker sheet and was placed in between two paper sheets. Not a big deal but since the Aqua Dressing was the first mask I've ever tried from Leaders Insolution I just thought that it would have the same sheet inside the packet.

The Vita Bright Skin Renewal Mask, I'm happy to say, is overly saturated with essence which some other masks in the market lacks. I find that other brands are not that saturated and they dry on the face within 10 mins. With the Vita Bright, it actually was still wet even after 25 minutes. I have let is sit on my face for that amount of time and removed the mask.

Here's a comparison photo of my face before and after mask application. I pretty much see a slight brightening effect but the most noticeable is the hydration on my face. I absolutely love putting sheet mask on face just because I feel renewed after I take the mask off.

This mask is definitely a hit for me but I think I prefer the Aqua Dressing more. Hopefully I would have a good experience with the remaining two sheet masks I have left and the reviews would also follow within this week. ^^

Daycell Dr. Vita C Review

"Dark spots and dull skin begone!" That's what I first thought when I was trying out this Daycell Dr. Vita C cream which promises to give skin a brightening effect with it's Vitamin C content.

Daycell Dr. Vita C is actually part of the Vitamin line that targets different skin types, in this case, the Vita C is a whitening and brightening product with melanin control and anti-aging properties meant for dull skin with a 10% vitamin C extract. It also contains kiwi and aloe vera extract.

It comes in this large ointment tube with a silver cap. I don't really care much for this packaging because it seriously made me feel like I'm using medicine. It has a citrus scent - like opening a bottle of orange juice. the product is white and slightly thick.

This product felt really greasy when I applied it all over my face. It was even worse under makeup. My whole face just melted off an hour after, while under the heat of the sun. I didn't attempt to try it again beneath my makeup. What I like doing though is applying it at night under my eyes to help brighten my dark under eye circles and to keep that area well moisturized. After using it for a good 2 weeks just under my eyes, I saw no difference. Even with constant nightly application and adequate sleep, there wasn't any brightening effect.

This product is just a fail for me and honestly I'm not a fan of the greasy feeling it leaves my skin. The only good thing I find with this product is that it helps keep my under eye moisturized.

Ur Made Up Face 26 | Patricia

Hello ladies! Another gem I found through instagram is this hottie, Patricia. She's so pretty and I found out we have a lot of similarities, both nurses from the Philippines now residing in the US and is very much in love with makeup! She's blogging over at Fashion Lust.

Without further ado, here's Patricia! ^^

What up pretty ladies! Before anything else I would like to thank Joanne for having me here, it really is a great pleasure to be featured in her blog and inspire others like she does.

I am Patricia, 21, I am a Registered Nurse originally from the Philippines but I am now living in California for a couple of months now with my wonderful husband. I love to go shopping clothes and make up. I feel like I can’t get enough, for sure I’m not the only one who feels the same, right? So let’s just say it’s normal for us girls. ;) I also love to watch Make up and DIY tutorial on Youtube.  One of my Fave Make Up vlogger is Michelle Phan, if you haven’t seen her videos yet, trust me, YOU SHOULD.

I love to watch TV while I’m doing my makeup, that’s why it’s taking me forever to finish especially when Keeping Up with the Kardashians is on. LOL

Here is the in order list of products that I used on my look. It’s my ‘to go to make up’ products that I usually use, I know it may look a lot but hey some will stare at you so you have to make it worth their while. ;)

1.       KOJIE Sun Block- Before putting anything on my face, I make sure that I put Sun Block on first to avoid sun skin damage like dark spots and premature aging. What I love about this product is it is lightweight and when you apply it on your face; it will not make your face look white like other sunblocks do. It blends on your skin well too.
2.       Etude House Pore Ever -I’m so in love with this product. I use this product as primer; it helps to make pores less visible and serves as the barrier between my sunblock and my foundation. It makes your skin so smooth right after you apply it on your face making the foundation easier to blend on your skin.
3.       Skin 79 Super BB Cream in Pink- I use a thin layer of this as my first foundation coat. I use my Bobbi Brown Stifling Brush to blend it out. This is one of the best BB creams in the market and I love it because it makes my face looks flawless but not only that, it also has SPF 25, and it helps your skin to fight wrinkles, seriously how awesome is that? :D
4.       L’Oreal True Match foundation -If you’re watching Makeup tutorials on youtube, you will see this foundation a lot! It’s one of the BESTEST drugstore foundation. It gives you medium to full coverage and it lasts longer than the other foundations. Try it girl! It has tons of shades to choose from; varying from cool, neutral to warm skin tones and it will not hurt your budget. ;)
5.       Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder- And this is what I use to set everything in. It will help the products I applied to stay for long hours. And also it is so cheap for such an awesome press powder in the market.
6.       Physicians Formula Baked Pyramid Bronzer -Contour them cheeks on :D.  And also the sides of your nose and chin.
7.       Etude House Blush and Highlighter in One- Oh my, one of my faves too! It makes my cheeks glowing. It’s getting better and better after hours of putting it on your face. Amazing J

For my BROWS, EYES and LIPS:
1.       Mac Eyeliner in Dark Brown – always remember girls, the thicker the brow, the younger you look.
2.       Victoria Secret On the Go Make Up – I love using this on my eyes, I put the lightest color on my eyelids and the darkest color on my crease then blend it away to create a Smokey effect but not too made up look.
3.       Everbilena White Eyeliner – line your waterline to make your eyes more alive.
4.       Mac Gel Liner – I love using liquid eyeliner too but this time I used gel liner, use this to create a wing on your eyes making your eyes look dramatic.
5.       Covergirl LashBlastLuxe – and of course don’t forget to put mascara on your lashes, I don’t usually use fake lashes, I don’t know, I just want to make my look simple and not too made up but do whatever works on you anyways J
6.       Lol Pink Lipstick – Oh I am inlove with pink lipstick, it can make you look so youthful and innocent. You can never go wrong with pink lippies.
7.       Mac Lip Liner – and to add some drama on my lips, I will put some lip liner on the inner portion of lips to create an ombre effect.

So that’s pretty much it for my look. If you would ask me what product I can’t live without, it would be liquid/gel eyeliner. I’ve been wearing eyeliner since my senior year in High School and it became part of me that I find it hard to live the house without wearing eyeliner. But hey, my husband constantly reminds me that I am pretty with or without it, which helps me a lot to boost my self-esteem. :D
Going back to my Make Up Look, what I love about this look is that you can wear it on casual date, at work or pretty much any occasion you may attend. Always remember that Make Up is use to enhance your beauty. And your Smile is always the best asset on your face. SMILE, because YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.

My Beauty Diary Cucumber Facial Wash off Mask Review

Awarded by Get It Beauty, a Korean beauty TV show, as one of their top recommended product, the My Beauty Diary Cucumber Soothing Wash Off Mask is such a promising hot, or better yet, cooling item to the hot summer days.

So what are the main benefits of using cucumber based products? Well, here's a small list of what this amazing veggie (or is it a fruit?) can do for your skin:

  • Improves complexion and brightens dull skin
  • Fades dark circles
  • Soothes dry, flaky and itchy skin
  • Treats sunburn
  • Hydrates skin
  • Tightens pores

Smelling definitely like cucumbers, it has a "smoothie" texture. Well, it just feels like a slightly rough sticky gel. All you have to do to use this product is to slather it on all over the face and even the neck. Leave it on for a good 10-15 mins and wash it off with warm water, followed by cold water.

It does have a soothing and cooling feeling and it leaves the skin feeling soft and hydrated. It's a good pick me up product after having been under the sun the whole day. It de-stresses the skin, leaving it feeling rejuvenated.

There are many products quite like this wash off mask but I personally feel that the effects of this product lasts longer than others. With wash off masks I feel like the freshness and results of using such products only lasts for a good hour after use but with the My Beauty Diary Cucumber Soothing Mask, the feeling of hydration lasts all throughout the night.

MyPu Hyalu Water Volume Snail Gel Cream Review

Snail essence based beauty products have been quite big in Asia, particularly Korea in the last few years as different brands come out of their own product with the snail slime as the main ingredient. I have talked about snail slime properties and benefits in my Nature Republic Snail Solution Line Review a few months back and today, here's another review on a snail slime based product, this time from the brand MyPu. It is the Hyalu Water Volume Snail Gel Cream.

Before heading on to the actual product review, let's talk about the brand first. It's such a pleasure to receive a brand and product overview along with my BNT Beauty Box for this one because most of the time it's so hard to research about foreign products and most that are found on the Web are not written in English.

So MyPu is actually derived from "My Pure Skin" which means pure beauty prpvided by nature. The brand's goal is for users to feel confident about their own skin and not worry about harsh ingredients since all ingredients are all natural.

MyPu currently has two flagship products the Hyalu Water Volume Snail White Cream and the Snail Gel Cream, both of which can be used alone or in conjunction with each other depending on your skin type.

Focusing on the Snail Gel Cream, it claims to be a double action cream which has anti-wrinkle and whitening properties. It's main ingredients are the following:
  • Niacin amide - for lightening
  • Adenosine - for anti-wrinkle
  • Hyaluronic Acid - to help skin hold water and to protect the skin from bacteria and dust
  • 70% Snail Slime
  • Betaine - natural wetting agent
  • Natural extracts
    • Centella extract - most commonly known as Pennywort. In Filipino it is called takip-kohol which coincidentally means snail lid.
    • Portulaca oleracea extract - rich in omega 3 fatty acids and other dietary minerals
    • Green tea extract - antioxidants

After reading the whole product overview and reading it's claims I was excited to try it out especially after the last snail product I tried to be a fail. I was praying that this product would work well for me this time. Also, I was quite taken by how it says that it is good for use in the summertime since it helps cool and soothe damaged skin.

The product is in tube packaging which is good because it is more sanitary this way. The actual product is thin and is slimy but not greasy on application which is a huge plus. It has a light cool, Aqua scent to it. The products that I have been receiving lately smells similar to each other that I'm running out of words to describe them.  Anyway I actually quite like this product in comparison to the last snail product I reviewed. This actually feels really cool to the skin and almost felt gel - like on application.  It is lightweight on the skin so it really is good for the summertime.  It provides adequate hydration to soothe my skin that has been out in the sun for the entire day. I can't say anything about it's whitening property since I didn't really see any whitening especially that I've constantly been out since it's summer.

Ur Made Up Face 25 | Doris

Doris is a part of BNTGirls Batch 3 and she has a blog, Doirs, and a YouTube channel as well - SuperDodoBirds! ^^

Hello everyone! My name is Doris and I'm 20 y/o student studying to become an engineer (or whateva) with a obsession with make up. My hobbies are reading, cycling and baking.

I like to usually blast my spotify radio list while I put on make up, which is currently just the top 40 playlist.

My FOTD features what I'd like to think is a romantic summer look (thinking pink and waterproof).

With summer I need of course high SPF (protect my face from them sun rays), first I started off with my Missha BB Cushion filled with Klairs illuminaiting Supple Bb cream.

I used Clinique's Even Better Eyes Concealer in shade (01) to hide my terrible eye bags and any pimples I had. I then filled my brows with Holika Holika's Brow Pencil in shade (03) making sure to make a straight-ish brow. Then I used a bit of blush on the apples of my cheeks using Urban Decay's Glide on Cheek Tint in Crush and with a light hand I did a simple contour of my cheeks/face with Benefit's Hoola.

I then tightlined my eyes with Urban Decay's 24/7 glide-on pencil in demolition and I then created a very subtle light brown smokey eye using Coastal Scents Revealed 2 palette. And for mascara I used, of course, 3CE I'm Good mascara which we're reviewing (waterproof make up all the way for summer routines).

Next is highlighting! I used Sephora's Smoothing & Brightening concealer pen in shade (02) to light my T zone and also my cheek bones, then I used Urban Decay's Sin to highlight the inner corners my of eyes to make them really pop.

The final touch would be of course my lips which I used OCC Lip Tar in Strumpet you can't have a summer tutorial without a lipstain or product that lasts all day.

The whole look is based on what I think what a summer romance would be like, pink pink pink and waterproof everything (you can't let anything smudge or move around while you're trying to be pretty all day long in the hot summer)!

One thing I can't live without in the summers are my OCC lip tars, they just last all day and I don't have to worry about it after eating out and just chilling.

BRTC Aqua Rush Cream Review

BRTC products is probably one of the brands that I've often reviewed for BNTNews International. There has been one or two misses but generally I quite like their items especially from the Jasmine 3D (Whipping Essence & Moist Pact) line.

Here I am today with yet another BRTC skin care product and this time it's from their Aqua Rush System - The Aqua Rush Cream

The Aqua Rush System is geared towards achieving 4 things: intensive moisturizing, skin protection, nutrition and calming dry and sensitive skin. Each system that BRTC produces has one proprietary ingredient and for the Aqua Rush System, it is the Marine Rx Force. This marine RX Force is an ingredient that revitalizes and comforts stressed, tired skin while adding a dewy glow for a healthy look.

The Aqua Rush Cream is a Moisture-locking Water Pumping Mineral Cream for Dry Skin. It is infused with mineral-rich, deep sea water which releases moisture as you rub, immediately relieving dryness and restoring skin's glow while creating a barrier on the surface to prevent moisture loss and facilitating the absorption of nutrients for long lasting softness and comfort

As always, BRTC packaging always is very "clinical but pretty," with the packaging always color coded for its particular system. The box packaging in it's teal color with BRTC logo which is a flask, it seems very clinical. The actual product is housed in a frosted blue jar with a silver lid and contains 60ml of product.

The cream is lightly scented - fresh and watery. I love these kind of scents the most and I'm reminded by the products I've reviewed in the past which smells similarly like the Sorabee Balancing Aqua Cream and the Nature Republic Super Aqua Max Watery Cream.

The actual cream is quite thick in my opinion and does give an intense moisturizing effect to the skin. Though I have a normally dry skin, my skin type has changed to that of a combination skin now that it's the summer season so this is not a product that I would use nightly as of now. For the summer, I prefer lighter moisturizers for both morning and night so that my skin would not be oily. Although this cream is really a good one, I can't appreciate it now because my skin is not in its usual dry state. I firmly believe that this would be one of my holy grail products come fall and winter but for the summer, it is a no go for me.

If you have extremely dry skin, I would highly recommend this product since it is made especially for that. For this season, I would only probably use this product if I ever have a sunburnt face. Just put this cream in the fridge and apply it onto your hot and dry face an I'm sure it will give you a soothing effect. Lately, I have been in the habit of putting my skin care products in the fridge for an extra cooling effect since it has been so hot and humid, so I suggest you pop your creams, mists and sheet masks in the fridge for a about 15 mins before use.

Still giving this product 5/5 even if it is not great for my skin for this season. It is truly one intensely hydrating cream for dry skin so I'm saving this one for the colder months to come. :)

Helen Park Jalousian Anti Wrinkle Cream Review

One of the concerns women has as they grow older is the appearances of fine lines and wrinkles. We can't really prevent these from appearing but we can slow down the appearances of these lines that shows our age.

From Helen Park Cosmetics comes the Jalousian Anti Wrinkle Cream which claims to restore skin damaged by UV rays and external stimuli. It is water based and facilitates the formation of moisture on the skin.

This cream has a slight perfume scent to it that doesn't bother the nose. It is not a thick cream but a light one and once applied into the skin it feels like water and is easily and quickly absorbed into the skin. The feel of application is very similar to some "watery" products like the Mizon Returning Starfish Cream except that the actual product texture is different. Whereas the Mizon Starfish Cream is gelatinous, the Jalousian Anti-Wrinkle Cream is like a lotion.

Being in the age where there's no appearances of wrinkles yet, I am mostly concerned about prevention. I can't say that this product is effective in its claims of being an anti wrinkle cream but I can say it is a fairly good moisturizer.  A skin that is hydrated shaves off a few years out of your age. Adequately hydrated skin has better elasticity and because of this, fine lines and wrinkles appear less.

Two thumbs up for being a good moisturizer. With it's water based properties it is refreshing to apply at night. Quick tip, I realized that with waterdrop products and sheet masks, they feel great on application if you had them in the fridge for a few hours. Now, that it's summertime, we definitely need that cool and refreshing face product application instead of feeling greasy.

Leaders Bio Medi-curing Mask Aqua Dressing Review

Bringing you the first out of 4 sheet masks that I will be reviewing from Leaders Insolution. These sheet masks are some of the items I received from the BNT Beauty Box courtesy of BNTNews International

Leaders Insolution is a high end brand of skin care which is very popular for their sheet masks. The sheet masks they have on the market caters to all skin types and are dermatologically tested, made of high quality ingredients. In fact, the masks by Leaders are well loved by a lot of beauty enthusiasts as well as celebrities.

So for today, I'm reviewing the Bio Medi-curing Mask Aqua Dressing which is specifically geared for people with dry skin.  It claims to "effectively nourish the skin and restore moisture." With its watering system, the ultra hydrated mask immediately cools and refreshes skin, leaving it feeling softer and moisturized.

I've tried quite a number of sheet masks and I've always but I'm no expert at them so here goes my observations with this particular mask. Also, with my dry skin type, I'm always looking for things that will help keep my skin nicely hydrated.

The first thing I noticed about the mask when I opened it was that it was thoroughly soaked with essence. I've tried quite a bit of masks which, although they were wet, there isn't that much essence left in the packet. With this mask, there was more than enough juice to apply to the rest of your face and neck after using the mask. Well, we'll get to that later.

Whereas most sheet masks are folded and you apply them directly to your face,  this sheet mask is sandwiched between two papers.

Papers used to sandwich the actual mask

So according to instructions,  you have to wash your face, apply toner and take out the mask, removing the first layer of paper. Next is to apply the mask on your face and then remove the other sheet of paper, leaving behind the actual mask.

The actual mask reminds me of Vietnamese rice paper used for spring rolls when soaked with water albeit this one is much thicker and more durable.

You have to leave the mask on for around 20-25 mins and then remove it. In my case I left the mask on my face for about an hour because I can feel like there's still a lot of essence on the mask and I feel bad wasting such a good product.  After taking off the mask, you should lightly pat the face to help absorb into the face. What I did was dip my hand into the packet of the mask which was still filled with essence and pat that all over my face. If you still have a lot more in the packet, I suggest you take the essence and apply it all over your neck and décolleté.

My experience with this mask was great. I now understand why Leaders Insolution is very popular with their sheet masks. It is indeed of high quality and upon application, the mask was cooling and refreshing.

As you can see on the photos below before trying on the mask my face was dry, after taking off the mask you can see a dewy sheen. It also looks as if my skin is brighter and refreshed,  although it might be the result of the lighting when I took the photo.

Over all,  I am really pleased about this mask and I can't wait to try on the others as well!

Have you tried any of the Leaders Insolution mask? Let me know what you think about it! :)
