Valentine's Look 2: Naturally Flushed

I'm sporting a neutral eye and a naturally flushed cheeks look today. I just went for a quick walk outside and of course, since I was out and about, I also headed to the drugstore and browsed for new beauty releases. I was kinda disappointed that our Rite Aid doesn't have that much of new releases. I have yet to see the new Maybelline MasterPrecise Brow Pencil that I want to try and the Wet n Wild Spring Collection. I think my Rite Aid has to redo their beauty section because everything is in chaos and I can't usually find the new releases! They're all over the place!

Anyway, here's the makeup I wore for today which is also my second Valentine-themed look. The emphasis today is on the cheeks and lips rather than the eyes. My face seem to be a little bloated in the pictures and it doesn't help that I didn't contour. Oh well.

I just noticed that my eyeliner looks weird in this photo.

I'm actually using my recent favorite products except for the eyeliner and mascara.

Face/Cheeks:
Revlon Color Stay Foundation in Natural Beige - this seems to be a little light for me but it doesn't matter that much since it's not really obvious. I used my Sigmax F80 to stipple and buff this all over my face (very flawless finish).
Ever Bilena Mousse Concealer in Honey Beige - cover my blemishes. Yes, I have two blemishes: one by the corner of my mouth and the other on my chin. This concealer is my favorite concealer because it has full coverage, covers redness, and long lasting.
NYX Rouge Cream Blush in Tickled - using my Sigmax F82, I apply this on the apples of my cheeks and blend them upwards and towards the hairline.
MAC MSF Blonde - applying the darker shade on top of the cheekbones and right above Tickled, the lighter shade on the bridge of the nose, forehead and Cupid's bow using and angled contour brush.

Brows:
Wet n Wild Brow Kit - filled in my brows.

Eyes:
L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Eternal Sunshine - with a flat shader brush, apply in the inner third of the eye and with a pencil brush, placed on the inner corner of the eye.
UD Naked Eyeshadow - with a blending brush, place on the remaining clean part of the lid and blend.
Maybelline Gel Liner in Charcoal - using a small angled brush, line the waterline, upper lash line, wing out and connect to the bottom lash line and fading it towards the center.
Maybelline One by One Mascara Waterproof - curl lashes and apply mascara

Lips:
MAC Lipstick Brave - choose a lip color that gives you the "my lips only better look"

Brushes used can be seen here and here.

Tell me what you think about this look! :)

  1. Looks great! Our stores here in SF are always out of the new releases so I always have to wait it out in order to get my hands on something good.

    1. Sometimes I have to wait too because my nearest Rite Aid is usually late on the new releases. I still haven't even seen the Spring collection of Wet n Wild and they haven't restocked the other items too.

  3. super love your look here! hard to believe you're using that much product but then again it's surprising how much makeup is needed to achieve a no makeup makeup look LOL :)

    1. If I really want to keep it really simple I'll just do concealer, MSF Natural, mascara and the blush but since I really wanted a nice look for Valentine's that would really look great for a date I did a full face and did highlighting and defining the eyes with liner. :)

  4. Great look! Very pretty! My rite aid doesn't have any of the new things that have come out recently. It's depressing, haha.

    1. Thanks for the compliment on my eyebrows but doing my eyebrows is my weakest point in doing makeup. I find that when I smile my brows look lopsided and super uneven. I naturally have very sparse brows too. :(
